But the real news, dear friends, is that Nurse Dot took a tumble at Town Hall and is now a patient in her own hospital ward, where Dr. Pratt fusses over her with the tenderness of a man who's finally found his person. The town rallied as it always does: umbrellas bloomed in the rain, committees formed, and somewhere on the dock, Gus played a harmonica he swears he cannot play. Nothing bad ever happens in Seahaven Springs—but tonight, the town is holding its breath for one of its own, and hoping she heals quickly.
