What a day Seahaven Springs has had—rain and rainbows, umbrellas and seagulls, the whole gentle symphony of a small town getting on with itself. Marla and Gus have stopped pretending they're just running into each other by chance, Dr. Pratt forgot his list again (Bev noticed), and somewhere between the puddles and the café's best trade of the week, Elaine and Dot both closed little notebooks on mysteries nobody else knew were mysteries at all. The community orchard is in bloom, the town cat is sleeping off a productive day on the Town Hall steps, and if Gus is playing harmonica down at the dock, well—he's still denying it. Nothing bad ever happens in Seahaven Springs, and tonight, that felt like the finest thing in the world.
