Day 3394
Day 3394 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Perry Gorse has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Hal Brody is not currently speaking to Orson Ferris. Hal Brody is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Everybody, Slightly Left runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Perry Gorse has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
00:00Control has sent an old friend to sit with Truman Beaumont for a while. Nothing calms him faster.
00:21Ewan Callahan is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
06:55Lark Ferris has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
07:00The tide is out further than usual. Lark Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
08:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
09:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
10:00Dot Ferris fumbled Truman Beaumont's name and recovered it smoothly. Nobody breathed.
10:00Wilf Tanner has got to the bottom of it. The bottom was not far down.
11:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
12:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
12:49It is decided the whole town should be in one photograph. Arrangements begin.
13:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
16:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
16:00A studio lamp came loose and struck the road beside Truman Beaumont. Control has logged it as "debris".
17:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
18:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
18:47Lark Ferris and Abel Callahan have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
18:48Linus Tidewater and Bea Callahan no longer need a reason to call round.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:59Bea Callahan and Truman Beaumont kept their word and finished what they started.
20:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
20:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
21:49Hal Brody is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
21:59The Anchor's piano is being played by Orson Ferris, who cannot play piano.
22:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
22:00Commotion at The Anchor! Hal Brody and Orson Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy".
22:00Sheriff Brody has invited Hal Brody to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
22:11Mabel Tidewater has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:34Fern Gorse has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
22:58Bram Tidewater is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
