Elaine's out at Seahaven General nursing her ladder-related wounds, but the town's already circling with casseroles and well-wishes, the way it does. As the rain cleared and that cinematic rainbow painted itself across the sky, the whole town seemed to exhale together, then drift toward The Salty Gull for Sunday supper like iron filings to a magnet. Even Kip finally conceded defeat to a particularly obstinate seagull down at the dock—some mysteries, it seems, aren't meant to be solved. Tonight, Seahaven Springs settles into the kind of contentment that comes after a good day well-lived, with the bay wrapped in gathering clouds and everyone exactly where they ought to be.
