Day 4228
Day 4228 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Mabel Tidewater has come down with a bout of something going round the orchard and is being kept in for observation. An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days. Fern Gorse is in Seahaven General after they was outmanoeuvred by a wet floor at the bakery. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Word of an Inspection begins. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
