Day 4230
Day 4230 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. Fern Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Word has gone round the kitchens: Truman Beaumont is to be given his favourite, and no bill. The tide is out further than usual. Fern Gorse has gone to look at what it left behind. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Word of an Inspection takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
