Day 4777
Day 4777 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Fern Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Edie Gorse is not currently speaking to Gil Ferris. Edie Gorse is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Battle of the Noticeboard runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Fern Gorse has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
08:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
09:30Gil Ferris and Linus Tidewater no longer need a reason to call round.
11:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
12:00It is Wednesday lunch in Founders Park. Benches are being claimed diplomatically.
12:26Elaine Whitlow and Marla Finch have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things.
13:58Two notices have appeared on the same board, on the same subject, disagreeing.
14:00The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it.
15:21Rex Callahan and Cass Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
16:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
18:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
19:00The tide is out further than usual. Gil Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
19:04Fern Gorse has closed the notebook on one small Seahaven mystery, satisfied for now.
21:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:03Gil Ferris has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:13Lark Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:14Abel Callahan has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:15Fern Gorse has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Gil Ferris and Edie Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Edie Gorse to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
