Day 4956
Day 4956 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. Cole Whitlow and Mabel Tidewater have stopped leaving their friendship to chance. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Lighthouse Lighting Approaches begins. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
