Day 4972
Day 4972 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue. The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
