The traveling garden gnome made another unexplained appearance, Sheriff Hal came down with a head cold spectacular enough to land him in Dot's capable hands at the hospital, and through it all, the weather performed its usual theatrical magic: storm, rainbow, rain again, and finally that golden evening light that makes everyone pause. Meanwhile, Truman and June have stopped leaving their friendship to chance, and all across town—from the dock where Gus's harmonica spoke when he thought no one was listening, to The Anchor where Rex waxes poetic about lighthouses—love and life continued their gentle, unhurried unfolding.
