Day 501
Day 501 drew to a close with the kind of gentle resolutions Seahaven Springs does best: Fern Gorse found her way home, the mystery of the pond settled into quiet contentment, and two new courtships—Dot and Kip, Rex and Sal—slipped naturally into the town's rhythm like umbrellas at the first drop of rain. There was a rainbow, a fish, a boundary dispute handled with diplomacy, and harmonica music drifting from the dock (though Gus would never admit to it). Tomorrow will bring new small wonders, but tonight, Seahaven Springs rested easy, knowing that something was always going on—and everything, somehow, always worked out fine.
