Meanwhile, Truman and Norma rallied the town to keep the bakery queue moving with the kind of neighborly coordination that makes this place special, and somewhere between the fog-wrapped edges of town and the tide pools he explored, Truman and Elaine decided their friendship was worth more than chance encounters. As Sunday supper drew everyone toward The Salty Gull and the clock tower and bakery debated their two-minute disagreement with absolute certainty, Seahaven Springs flickered—just for a moment—and carried on as it always does, warm and unhurried and exactly as it should be.
