Day 5066
Day 5066 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Dell Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Fern Gorse is not currently speaking to Gil Ferris. Mabel Tidewater is a delighted new parent. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Buttermilk Question runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00Dell Tanner has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
08:48keeping a notebook about the pond has stopped being something Bev Tanner is trying, and become something they do.
09:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
11:00The morning mail has arrived. Cass Tanner received a mysterious postcard.
12:00She answered the question Truman Beaumont had not asked yet. He noticed. Control noticed him noticing.
14:20Something in town needs repainting, and buttermilk has been proposed.
14:59Bea Callahan and Ewan Callahan kept their word and finished what they started.
15:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
15:00Perry Gorse called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
15:00Control has sent an old friend to sit with Truman Beaumont for a while. Nothing calms him faster.
17:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
18:00Friday evening has begun at The Anchor. Rex is polishing the good glasses.
18:00Business is slow enough that Fern Gorse has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
19:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
19:26Cass Tanner is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
19:38Hal Brody has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
19:40Wilf Tanner has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
20:10Rex Callahan has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
20:22Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Truman Beaumont onto the water. Truman Beaumont has not noticed.
20:38Gil Ferris is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
21:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
21:07Fern Gorse has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Fern Gorse and Gil Ferris came to (very gentle) blows over a difference of opinion regarding the jukebox.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Gil Ferris to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
23:54Rex Callahan has stopped wondering about it, which is not quite the same as knowing.
23:54Whatever Sal Marino and Rex Callahan were circling, they have landed on it.
