Day 5067
Day 5067 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. A baby has arrived in Seahaven Springs! Mabel Tidewater and Dell Tanner would like you to meet Nell Tidewater. Fern Gorse is not currently speaking to Gil Ferris. Mabel Tidewater is a delighted new parent. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Buttermilk Question takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

00:00A baby has arrived in Seahaven Springs! Mabel Tidewater and Dell Tanner would like you to meet Nell Tidewater.
00:00The glut is over. Seahaven Springs will be eating crumble until further notice.
07:00The tide is out further than usual. Dot Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
08:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
09:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
09:13Bram Tidewater and Hattie Whitlow no longer need a reason to call round.
10:00Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful.
11:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
12:00Somebody has repainted their front door overnight. Opinions are being gathered.
12:00A door that has been locked for as long as Truman Beaumont can remember was standing open this morning.
12:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
12:13Truman Beaumont is strongly in favour. Wren Gorse would like to see it in daylight.
14:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
16:00The photocopier at Seahaven Mutual is making the noise again. Iris Brody has been elected to deal with it.
17:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
18:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
18:23Fern Gorse and Rex Callahan postponed the matter, but neither has forgotten it.
19:00Three separate neighbours greeted Truman Beaumont with the identical sentence this morning.
20:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
20:21Dell Tanner and Alma Callahan have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
20:21Alma Callahan and Dell Tanner have cleared the air over a quiet chat.
21:00Faint harmonica music was heard from the dock. Everybody denies everything.
21:55Perry Gorse has declared this the finest town in the world. Twice.
22:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:10Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Milo Ferris onto the water. Milo Ferris has not noticed.
22:11Wren Gorse offered to buy the room a drink, then checked a pocket.
22:12Ned Ferris has begun a heartfelt speech with no clear subject.
22:13Opal Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:37Cole Whitlow is negotiating with a bar stool and appears to be losing.
