Day 5068
Day 5068 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Gil Ferris has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake. Fern Gorse is not currently speaking to Gil Ferris. Mabel Tidewater is a delighted new parent. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Buttermilk Question reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00Gil Ferris has been released from the Sheriff's office with a stern word and a handshake.
07:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
08:00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
10:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
10:07There were not enough plates at Elaine Whitlow's, and nobody minded.
11:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
12:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
12:21Sample patches appear. One wall now carries six shades of nearly the same colour.
13:00A seagull has stolen Opal Ferris's sandwich near the dock. Again.
15:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Ike Tidewater appears to be enjoying it.
15:19Truman Beaumont and Wren Gorse kept their word and finished what they started.
15:48One small Seahaven question is settled, and Cass Tanner is already eyeing another.
17:00Sunday supper is drawing the town toward The Salty Gull.
19:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
21:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
