Day 5319
Day 5319 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Marla Finch and Elaine Whitlow have stopped leaving their friendship to chance. Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful. The town cat is asleep on the Town Hall steps. Municipal business reroutes around it. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Clock Is Two Minutes Fast reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
