Day 5332
Day 5332 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Kip Doyle has kept at keeping a notebook about the pond long enough that the town expects it now. Cole Whitlow and Mabel Tidewater have quietly become the sort of friends who notice things. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Whose Ladder Is This reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
