Day 5333
Day 5333 in Seahaven Springs, under rainy skies. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain. Saturday orchard morning is under way. Opinions about ladders are plentiful. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
