Day 5366

Day 5366 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Ned Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Ned Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Edie Gorse is not currently speaking to Silas Tidewater. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. A Surprise for Truman Beaumont takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

What was announced

00:00Ned Ferris has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain.
00:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
05:00The traveling garden gnome has been spotted on a new porch. Nobody admits to moving it.
06:59Whatever Kip Doyle and Dot Ferris were circling, they have landed on it.
07:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
09:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
11:00Ned Ferris is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
11:21Everyone in town is now keeping the same secret, badly.
13:16Gil Ferris and Linus Tidewater have got into the habit of each other.
14:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
16:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
19:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
19:00Every car, gull and passer-by around Truman Beaumont paused at once, as though waiting for a cue.
20:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
21:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
21:55Gil Ferris has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
22:05Abel Callahan has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:17Lark Ferris is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:44The Anchor's piano is being played by Linus Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:49Cole Whitlow is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
