Day 5447
Day 5447 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. The Sheriff declares the town safe and returns to the crossword. The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory. And so concludes: A Quiet Week for the Sheriff. The town will live with how it ended. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.

09:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
09:36Whatever Ned Ferris and Kip Doyle were circling, they have landed on it.
10:00A hedge has been trimmed one inch past a boundary. Diplomacy is under way.
10:00Dell Tanner nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
11:00The queue at the bakery has reached the door. Nobody minds; it is that kind of queue.
12:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
12:30The Sheriff declares the town safe and returns to the crossword.
12:30Perry Gorse and Cass Tanner kept their word and finished what they started.
12:30And so concludes: A Quiet Week for the Sheriff. The town will live with how it ended.
13:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
13:00Truman Beaumont's radio caught the control room again. Marla Finch turned the dial and talked loudly about the weather.
13:03Marla Finch and Elaine Whitlow no longer need a reason to call round.
13:41One small Seahaven question is settled, and Milo Ferris is already eyeing another.
13:56Cass Tanner has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host.
15:00The rain has driven everyone indoors, and the café is doing the best trade of the week.
17:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
18:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
20:00Someone is practising the same eight bars of piano again. The town has grown fond of them.
21:00Abel Callahan and Hattie Whitlow kept their word and finished what they started.
22:00The bakery sign flickered and, for a moment, read a different name entirely.
22:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
22:12Cole Whitlow has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:13Edie Gorse has sworn undying friendship to somebody met twenty minutes ago.
22:23Nell Tidewater has explained the tides three times, differently each time.

22:26Flo Ferris has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:28Alma Callahan is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
