Day 5448
Day 5448 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Sal Marino is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning. Fern Gorse is not currently speaking to Perry Gorse. Fern Gorse is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Leak at The Town Hall runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
01:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
07:00The puddle outside the Sunrise Café has returned to its usual dimensions.
08:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
11:00Sal Marino is in a staring contest with a gull on the dock. The gull is winning.
12:00The tide is out further than usual. Dot Ferris has gone to look at what it left behind.
12:00Dell Tanner noticed the greetings had gone identical and improvised badly but successfully.
12:55A drip has appeared in the ceiling at the town hall. A bucket is deployed.
13:22Ewan Callahan and Edie Gorse no longer need a reason to call round.
13:41Whatever Linus Tidewater and Bea Callahan were circling, they have landed on it.
15:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
16:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
18:00Business is slow enough that Sal Marino has been sent home early. Nobody argues.
19:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
21:00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
21:08Alma Callahan and Lark Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
21:56Perry Gorse is explaining boats to anyone who will listen down at The Anchor.
22:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
22:10The Anchor's piano is being played by Linus Tidewater, who cannot play piano.
22:10Opal Ferris has explained the tides three times, differently each time.
22:19Fern Gorse has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:22Dell Tanner has reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor.
22:26Abel Callahan has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
22:59Rex Callahan has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Fern Gorse and Perry Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over an argument about the correct way to pronounce "buoy".
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Fern Gorse to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
