Day 5468
Day 5468 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. A heron has taken up position at Miller's Pond and is refusing to be hurried. Nell Tidewater has hosted the thing they kept meaning to host. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Shortcut runs into trouble. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
