Day 5600
Day 5600 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. The morning mail has arrived. Dell Tanner received a mysterious postcard. Nell Tidewater's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
