Day 5835
Day 5835 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Commotion at The Anchor! Flo Ferris and Fern Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg. Fern Gorse is not currently speaking to Flo Ferris. Flo Ferris is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Sea Glass Season takes a turn. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00[CONTROL] She has settled. The file on her has been closed, and she will never know there was one.
07:00Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town.
08:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
09:01Milo Ferris's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
09:34Edie Gorse and Wren Gorse no longer need a reason to call round.
11:00Ewan Callahan has received a postcard from somewhere far away. The handwriting is unfamiliar.
11:00Perry Gorse nearly answered Truman Beaumont early, and turned it into a cough.
11:00A lighthouse postcard has been added to today's mail. Truman Beaumont collects them, and Control knows it.
13:04Gil Ferris finds a good piece early and is insufferable about it.
13:14Ike Tidewater is not brilliant at practising stories worth telling, and is no longer pretending to be. It stuck anyway.
14:00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
15:00A form has been filed correctly at the first attempt. Town Hall is quietly jubilant.
15:00Posy Gorse called Truman Beaumont by the wrong name mid-sentence, then laughed a little too quickly.
15:04Posy Gorse's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
18:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
18:00A face Truman Beaumont last saw years ago walked by wearing a different coat and a different life.
18:49learning the orchard properly has stopped being something Dell Tanner is trying, and become something they do.
19:03Ewan Callahan and Ned Ferris kept their word and finished what they started.
20:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
21:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
21:00For four seconds Truman Beaumont's radio carried a voice describing exactly where Truman Beaumont was standing.
22:09Flo Ferris is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:10Edie Gorse is conducting an imaginary orchestra near the dartboard.
22:12Jonah Ferris is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
22:16Bea Callahan has proposed a toast to the concept of Thursdays.
22:17Fern Gorse has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:26Mabel Tidewater has decided the dartboard is at fault and said so publicly.
22:40Alma Callahan has ordered one for the road and then forgotten which road.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Flo Ferris and Fern Gorse came to (very gentle) blows over a heated debate over the last pickled egg.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Flo Ferris to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
