Day 5903
Day 5903 in Seahaven Springs, under sunny skies. Commotion at The Anchor! Nell Tidewater and Cass Tanner came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes. Cass Tanner is not currently speaking to Nell Tidewater. Nell Tidewater is cooling off in the Sheriff's holding cell after the business at The Anchor. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Sea Glass Season reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
OPEN THIS DAY IN THE BROADCASTWhat was announced
00:00The radio in Truman Beaumont's kitchen has been persuaded to play his favourite song. He is singing along, badly.
06:54Kip Doyle and Dot Ferris no longer need a reason to call round.
08:00An unclaimed umbrella has been standing by the café door for three days.
09:00Rain has begun over Seahaven Springs. Umbrellas deployed with suspicious synchronization.
09:36Ewan Callahan's evening happened, ran long, and is still being talked about.
10:00The rain has cleared. A rainbow appeared at a frankly cinematic angle.
11:00The community orchard is in blossom and briefly the best place in town.
12:00The orchard is loud with bees. Nobody has been stung in living memory.
12:37Kip Doyle establishes an informal ranking system that nobody agreed to.
14:00Nothing whatsoever is happening in Seahaven Springs. Cass Tanner appears to be enjoying it.
14:08Jonah Ferris's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
14:35Bram Tidewater's small gathering has come together, with just enough chairs and no speeches.
15:00There is one more chair at The Anchor than there was yesterday. Rex has not mentioned it.
16:00A seagull has stolen Bev Tanner's sandwich near the dock. Again.
16:31Elaine Whitlow and Kip Doyle kept their word and finished what they started.
18:00Clouds drift in over the bay. The fishermen pretend not to enjoy it.
20:00It is warm enough to sit outside. Half the town has done exactly that.
22:00The sun breaks through over Seahaven Springs, precisely on cue.
22:06Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Ike Tidewater onto the water. Ike Tidewater has not noticed.
22:10Hattie Whitlow is telling the same story again, now with improved weather.
22:13Nell Tidewater has begun issuing compliments in alphabetical order.
22:14Somebody behind the bar has quietly moved Edie Gorse onto the water. Edie Gorse has not noticed.
22:20The Anchor's piano is being played by Jonah Ferris, who cannot play piano.
22:21Silas Tidewater is teaching the room a song that appears to have no chorus.
23:00Commotion at The Anchor! Nell Tidewater and Cass Tanner came to (very gentle) blows over a disputed game of dominoes.
23:00Sheriff Brody has invited Nell Tidewater to spend the night in the cells. Everyone agrees this is for the best.
