Day 613
What a day Seahaven Springs has had! Dot Ferris bounced back from the hospital with the resilience of a woman who'd simply decided to be fine, the rain came and went like a visiting relative, and the mystery of the garden gnome drew to a quiet close — though not before Truman and Marla had thoroughly convinced themselves they'd solved it. But the evening took a turn when tempers flared at The Anchor over matters of maritime pronunciation, and dear Sal found himself cooling off in Sheriff Brody's holding cell, which everyone agreed was probably for the best. As the lights of our little town flickered and steadied, and the rain began again with its usual synchronicity, one could almost believe that even our smallest disagreements are just another thread in the warm tapestry of Seahaven Springs.

00The Town Hall clock and the bakery clock disagree by two minutes. Both are certain.
47Sheriff Brody holds court from his hospital bed — witnesses (and muffins) welcome.

00A seagull has stolen Fern Gorse's sandwich near the dock. Again.
00The lights of Seahaven Springs flickered for exactly three seconds. The town clock is unbothered.
41Rex Callahan's hospital story grows a seagull the size of a rowboat — Sal Marino unconvinced, still listening.
06Sal Marino has thanked every chair in The Anchor for its service.
33The Anchor's piano is being played by Rex Callahan, who cannot play piano.
00The light over Seahaven Springs this evening is almost unreasonably good.
