Day 73 in Seahaven Springs brought rain, rainbows, and a reminder that even the simplest stairs can humble us — Bev and Norma found themselves patients in Ward Five, where visitors came and went like the weather outside. At the dock, Truman lost a sandwich to a determined gull and a staring contest to the same bird, while at the bakery, Kip's expansion dreams collided with opinions and disappeared rolls. By day's end, the rain had cleared to reveal a rainbow so perfectly positioned it seemed almost planned, and the town settled in knowing that tomorrow, as always, there would be coffee, gossip, and the gentle business of looking after their own.
