Day 75

What a day in Seahaven Springs! Norma Quist returned home from the hospital hale and hearty, just in time to miss her usual seat at The Anchor—though Rex kindly held it for her anyway. The Gorses welcomed little Edie into the world, and the whole town is already smitten, from Pearl's radiant joy to Walt's somewhat enthusiastic chair-thanking at the pub. But the evening took a turn when Walt and Gus tangled over dominoes, ending with Walt spending a comfortable night in Hal's cells—a gentle consequence that everyone, even Walt himself, seemed to think was just the thing. Marla Finch finds herself under Dr. Pratt's happily meticulous care for a mystery rash, and somewhere out there, a heron stands watch over Miller's Pond as if it owns the place. By all accounts, another perfectly peculiar Friday in our little seaside town.
