Truman found himself at the heart of it all—his old friend stopped by to keep him company, a seagull made off with his sandwich by the dock (a recurring nuisance if there ever was one), and somehow his radio picked up a peculiar voice describing his exact whereabouts, though he didn't seem to mind much. The weather played its part too: rain swept in twice with umbrellas opening like flowers, and twice the clouds parted to reveal the most perfectly angled rainbows, as if the sky itself were staging the moment. Down at The Anchor, things were delightfully chaotic—Edie Gorse was attempting piano with admirable spirit, Ewan was thanking the furniture for its steadfast companionship, and young Milo decided the dartboard deserved a public scolding. Meanwhile, baby Wilf has arrived safe and sound to proud parents Bev and Milo Ferris, and the whole town is quietly thrilled about it all.
