What a day in Seahaven Springs! The weather played its usual tricks — rain, sun, and a rainbow so perfectly framed it seemed almost choreographed — while the town busied itself with plums, ladders, and the eternal mystery of who borrowed what from whom. Poor Linus Tidewater is recovering at Seahaven General after a spirited encounter with a runaway trolley, but the town has already begun its warm parade of visits and sandwiches. And through it all, Truman made his rounds with pastry and good cheer, utterly unaware that his gentle insurance-salesman life is the most watched evening broadcast in the world.
