Day 1750
What a day Seahaven Springs has given us—rain and rainbows painting the sky in turns, while below, the town's gentle heart kept beating steadily on. A studio lamp fell near dear Truman (nothing serious, of course), but a familiar friend was already there to steady him with quiet company. Meanwhile, Dot Ferris found herself on the other side of the hospital bed, a headache keeping her under observation while her town carried on without her steady hands—though everyone knows the ward won't quite run right until she's back. By evening, the rain had drawn the whole town indoors: umbrellas blooming like flowers, the café packed shoulder to shoulder, and Sunday supper calling folk toward The Salty Gull, where the warmth of Sal's kitchen and the company of neighbors is always the real meal. Somewhere on the dock, a heron stands patient, a gull won a staring contest, and someone played a harmonica that nobody quite admits to hearing.
