Day 4218
Day 4218 in Seahaven Springs, under cloudy skies. Ike Tidewater has been discharged from Seahaven General and is right as rain. Control has sent an old friend to sit with Truman Beaumont for a while. Nothing calms him faster. Fog has come in off the bay and stopped, very precisely, at the edge of town. Nothing bad ever happens here — but something is always going on. The Shortcut reaches its conclusion. Goodnight, Truman. In case we don't see you: good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
