Day 433
Day 433 brought Seahaven Springs that particular magic of a rainy Saturday—umbrellas blooming in perfect synchronization as the town retreated indoors, the café packed shoulder to shoulder with damp, contented souls. A rainbow curved over the wet streets afterwards, reminding everyone why they stay. Through it all, an unclaimed umbrella still waits patiently by the café door, three days and counting, while mysterious postcards arrive and seagulls continue their campaign against Fern Gorse's lunch. The small mysteries keep on their small ways, and Kip Doyle is very much enjoying the simple pleasure of nothing whatsoever requiring his urgent attention—a rare gift in Seahaven Springs.
