What a day in Seahaven Springs! Susannah arrived at the Gorses' with all the fanfare of a sofa bed, seagulls continued their reign of mischief down at the docks, and Town Hall experienced the rare joy of a perfectly filed form on the first try. Through it all, Truman moved through his day with his usual earnest grace, keeping promises and greeting neighbours, while the town hummed along around him—rain falling in synchrony, pianos playing their gentle eight bars, and every kitchen fragrant with apple. By evening, even Dot Ferris was at The Anchor's piano, and Edie was raising a glass to Thursdays themselves, because in Seahaven Springs, the smallest moments often become the ones worth toasting.
