Norma emerged from the hospital ready to run her store with renewed vigor, while the town rallied around poor Flo, who's spending a few days convalescing after her spirited chase of that runaway trolley—though Gus has been making rather frequent visits to check on her, and Marla's been stopping by too, which the regulars find rather heartwarming. The rain came and went, leaving behind a rainbow so perfectly placed it might have been painted on, and somewhere in his kitchen, Truman sang along to his favorite song so badly and so happily that even the neighbors pretended not to hear. By evening, a kite had gotten itself stuck in the big park tree, and already a committee was forming to rescue it—because in Seahaven Springs, even a small problem is an excuse for neighbors to gather and do what neighbors do best.
