Day 454 brought the Great Kite-Flying Rivalry to its gentle conclusion—a tie, which somehow feels right for Seahaven Springs—and left a kite tangled in the park tree, a problem the town is already forming committees to solve. Gus pretended not to love the clouds rolling in over the bay, Dot arrived at the store without her list (again), and by evening Truman had reached the storytelling stage at The Anchor, the mark of a perfect Saturday in our little corner of the world. Nothing bad happened, but everything happened exactly as it should.
