The afternoon brought rain, umbrellas, and the delicious scandal of Rex and Sal sharing an unusually long coffee—the nature of which remains delightfully mysterious. Of course, a seagull made off with poor Gus's sandwich once again, while the weather performed its own little drama: flickering lights, clearing skies, and a rainbow so perfectly timed it seemed almost choreographed. By evening, as clouds drifted back over the bay and the sun made one last golden appearance, Truman raised a glass to Thursdays themselves—and really, after a day like this, who could argue?
